The Sacral Chakra: How to Tap into Svadhishthana’s Energy

Have you experienced doubting yourself or felt emotionally exhausted or lost your sense of excitement? When was the last time you felt sensually desirable, creative, passionate for life, and emotionally grounded? If you find yourself stuck in these situations, you might be experiencing an unbalanced and blocked sacral chakra

The Sacral Chakra or Water Chakra or Svadhishthana is the one responsible for our base emotions, sexuality, and creativity.  Svadhishthana is the realm of our emotions – the center of our feelings and sensations. This chakra is associated with the color orange and the element of water, and its energy is characterized by flow and flexibility. The sacral chakra is located between the groin and at least three inches below the navel. This is the second chakra that helps to regulate the energy associated with passion, sensuality, and pleasure.

Here’s what happens when your sacral chakra is balanced and healthy:

  1. Have an active and healthy sex life;
  2. You’re comfortable with your own skin and sexuality;
  3. You create healthy emotional and grounded boundaries;
  4. You have a renewed passion and creativity for life.

Illnesses, stress, and emotional conflicts can cause blockage in the sacral chakra. When it’s blocked or imbalance, you may experience the following symptoms:

  1. Difficulty being sexually intimate with your partner;
  2. Struggling with an unhealthy self-image;
  3. Unhealthy addicting habits;
  4. Have a string of toxic failed relationships;
  5. Reproductive problems such as hormonal imbalances, impotency, infertility, and menstrual issues.

When the sacral chakra is blocked, there are various physical and non-physical signs that can emerge. It can also be blocked through one’s unique combination of facts, fears, personal experiences, and negative memories.

Sacral Chakra healing is the practice of opening, balancing, and purifying the sacral chakra within our bodies. It employs a variety of holistic healing remedies to bring alignment to the mind, body, soul, and spirit. When this chakra is blocked, here are some practical tips you can do to unblock this chakra:

  1. Move your hips – Because sacral chakra is located in your pelvic area, one of the best ways to balance this chakra is through dancing and moving your hips. Doing some hip-opening exercises will facilitate the energy flow of this chakra.
  2. Self-care is a must – One of the best ways to balance this chakra is through practicing self-care. By practicing self-care, you’ll clear this chakra of any blockages.
  3. Practice emotional catharsis Catharsis or emotional release is needed to let go of built-up emotions. Try jumping, crying, screaming, laughing, or other physical and emotional forms of catharsis to release pent-up emotions.  Try to be more connected with water too.
  4. Take care of your reproductive health – Avoid eating salty and fatty foods. Maintain good proper hygiene. Identify your sexual blockages. Try to be spontaneous and avoid being rigid.
  5. Explore creative self-expression – Pick an interesting activity that you like – coloring, painting, fashion, photography, art, writing, and any other activities that give you something to look forward to and enjoy doing.
  6. Sound Healing Therapy – Sound healing therapy is suited to purify the solar plexus chakra. Play music with many D musical notes. Tone your voice and listen to binaural beats to activate and clear all the chakras through alternating sound waves.
  7. Yoga – Practicing yoga poses stabilizes and aligns with the chakra system. Try the butterfly, camel, goddess, reverse, and pigeon yoga poses for balancing the sacral chakra.
  8. Authentic positive affirmations – Positive affirmations have been proven to make yourself feel better. If you’re normally kind to people, all the more reason that you need to be kind to yourself. Practice authentic positive affirmations like “My sexuality is sacred” or “I embrace my inner passion and sensuality”.
  9. Wear and Eat Something Orange – Since the orange color is associated with the sacral chakra, eat orange-colored foods such as carrots, melons, papaya.  Wear something orange to stimulate your sacral chakra.

  1. An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a friend who had been conducting a little research on this. And he in fact ordered me lunch because I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending time to discuss this topic here on your web page.

  2. Can I just say what a comfort to discover somebody that truly understands what they’re discussing on the internet. You actually realize how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More and more people must check this out and understand this side of your story. It’s surprising you’re not more popular given that you most certainly have the gift.

  3. This was a truly very great post. In theory I’d wish to create like this also – getting time and actual effort to make a terrific piece of writing but what can I say I procrastinate alot and by no means appear to obtain anything done.

  4. Nice post. I learn something totally new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon everyday. It will always be helpful to read articles from other writers and use something from other sites.
