What is an ARC?

ARC stands for Advanced Reader Copy. It is an early copy of the book meant for review. People on the ARC team receive ARCs about one to three weeks before the publication of a book. In exchange, they leave for an honest review (preferably on Amazon, but any of the retailers work) on the release day (or as soon after release day as possible).

Why are ARC Team Members important?

Readers reviews are critically important to spread the word about a book and help authors – especially indies like me – reach new readers. Also, It helps potential readers to decide whether or not they might find the book enjoyable. The more reviews a book has on its release date, the more likely it is to reach readers.
